Daisy Roots - Cornwall's Eco FloristCornwall’s unique green eco florist specialising in Cornish grown, fairtrade and organic flowers. Well-trained, experienced and passionate about what we do, we can provide ethical flowers for all your homes, workplaces and special occasions! Our connections with many local flower farmers have grown over time and we are able to stock a large range of seasonal flowers and plants throughout the whole year from snowdrops to poinsettia. Supporting our growers is essential; not only to lower ever-increasing and damaging air miles, but to ensure we have a successful and maintainable industry here in the South West. UneekaThe Uneeka concept was inspired by John Tornabene's journey through the heart of Nepal. The fundraising trek contributed towards the building of a children's home in Kathmandu, and offered John a unique insight into fair trade and its associated benefits. After sharing his experiences with long term friend and co-founder, Jodi Skelton, a significant gap in the retail sector to offer fair trade products was identified. This led to the opening of Uneeka's first store back in 2005, located in Lemon Street Market, Truro, aiming to act as a one stop shop for fair trade products. At Uneeka we source our products through international suppliers, all of whom are affiliated with one of the recognised and well established fair trade organisations, such as The Fair Trade Foundation and IFAT (International Fair Trade Association). Our future aspiration is to trade directly with individual producers and cooperatives from around the world, directly supporting, sustaining and improving the quality of life for families and communities in third world countries. 01872 273 631 |
