Old Cornwall is a celebration of all that is unspoiled about Cornwall and forms part of our heritage both in its architecture and its landscape, from Bronze Age field patterns, stone circles and hedges, to monuments of the mining industry, stately homes landmarks, harbours and streets. All are featured in this special exhibition of art and crafts.

Sport on the Shore Tweet

To coincide with this year's Olympics in London, Lander Gallery artists have produced work relating to various sports and leisure activities seen in and around the coastline of Cornwall. Familiar sports on the shore include surfing, kite surfing or windsurfing. Then there is sailing, from small single handed dinghies to ocean going yachts. For many, walking, cycling or horse riding along the extensive coastal path can provide just as much of a thrill. So whatever your sport come along and enjoy.

A group of artists have become very popular at the Lander Gallery and the connection they seem to have is their impressionist approach to painting the Cornish landscape and seascape. The artists featured include Caroline Atkinson, Jenny Shaw-Browne, Richard Lannowe Hall, Gordon Hunt, Julian Rowe and Janet Judge.

This is the Christmas mixed exhibition at the Lander Gallery and there is always a rich selection of things to make ideal gifts, from snow pictures to small pictures; Textiles including scarves, bags and cushions; Ceramics, including pots, sculptures, mugs and bowls; and a wide range of handmade jewellery, including necklaces, bracelets and earrings made from silver, pearls, glass and porcelain.
